Events- Past and Future!
2012:
I am playing with "Whoa! Miss Mojo" a blues/rock band based in Stratford. We are performing at the Stratford Blues Fest and at the Dominion House and Molly Bloom's over the summer.
I am playing drums and percussion for "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown" at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, Avon Theatre. This will run until the end of October.
I am playing with the fanfare crew for "The Matchmaker" at the Festival Theatre in Stratford.
The Stratford/ Des McAnuff production of Jesus Christ Superstar that I performed in last year has been nominated for 2 Tony awards this year!!
I went to Anchorage Alaska in February 2011 to perform with the Anchorage Symphony and Jeans n' Classics, playing the music of Queen.
I am teaching a select number of students at Alpha Music Services in London Ontario.
I am freelancing with Rock Recording Artist Doug Varty from London Ontario, Rock/ Blues Recording Artist Tim Tyler, Blues Sax-man extraordinaire Chris Murphy, and the legendary Plum Loco from Stratford Ontario featuring Brian Pawley from Ronnie Hawkins band and John Till from Janis Joplin's Full Tilt Boogie band.

Summer 2011: Besides playing drum kit for Jesus Christ Superstar at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, I also have filled in for the Stratford production of Camelot at the Festival Theatre... also I worked with Chris Murphy the blues sax player and entertainer and Tim Tyler the blues guitarist and vocalist doing some blues festivals, street parties and some nightclub gigs... both of those guys have new cd's out that I think are worthy of Juno awards!!

Sweet Music closed it's doors as of July 31 2011.. it was a fun project while it lasted but I couldn't devote enough time to it. Playing drums always trumps everything and that doesn't always work in the business world!! My thanks to all the students and teachers and parents and friends who made Sweet Music a great place... best of luck to everyone going forward...

Okay, maybe this year I can stay a little more current! So far I have been playing with Jeans n' Classics in Lima Ohio (New Year's Eve), Kalamazoo Michigan,London Ontario, Fort Wayne Indiana, Colorado Springs, and lovely Belleville Ontario! I did a few concerts with the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony and Orchestra London Canada on orchestral percussion.
As always, I fill up my schedule teaching at the Sweet Music Centre. I am truly fortunate to have great students who are talented and hard-working.
In April I started rehearsing Jesus Christ Superstar at the Avon Theatre for the Stratford Festival of Canada. This will keep me busy doing 4 or so shows a week until the end of October. It is a fantastic production- lots of SFX and use of video screens and cool lighting and smoke. I am playing my Sonor drums and Sabian cymbals and of course hitting things with my ProMark sticks... this year I am checking out Sabian's Artisan cymbals.... sweeeet!! I will be performing June 13th at Toronto's Luminato Festival of the Arts with cabaret performer Meow Meow and others....in the fall, more Jeans n' Classics travelling I expect!!

The rest of 2010: I guess I didn't quite keep up with this page... haha! In 2010 I was drumming for the Stratford Festival of Canada's production of Evita- getting super-comfortable playing in 7/8 time!! I travelled all over North America with Jeans n' Classics...New York, Colorado, Michigan, Ohio, and around Canada... and of course teaching lots of talented and promising students at the Sweet Music Centre at 338 Burwell St. in London Ontario.
On we go to 2011!!
March 2010- Motown show with Jeans n' Classics and Gavin Hope (the Nylons) and Katalin Kiss...Regina Symphony with an ABBA show, and finally some down time?!?!?!?
February 2010-
Performed every weekend with Jeans n' Classics-London Ontario, Dayton Ohio, Lima Ohio, Elmhurst Ill., and Sudbury ON... not much time for anything else other than playing, travelling, teaching...
January 2010- Rang in the New Year with Blues Star Chris Murphy in London Ontario... recorded a few albums at Signature Sound in Gads Hill Ontario... played with Tim Tyler at the Dominion House in Stratford Ontario...performed in Calgary with the Philharmonic and Jeans n' Classics... and in Omaha Nebraska with J&C...
